Prema Chlöe Bass, biti posmatrač nije ni blizu neutralne pozicije. Ona kaže sledeće:

„The most important aspect of my position is to remain accountable to the ways in which my own current vision, past experience, and future hopes work in service of what I preach, and to start a difficult reconciliation and evaluation process with myself if, or when, they don’t.”
